My Rose Gardens

Welcome to the front yard.

Come up the horseshoe driveway lined with rose trees and bedding flowers. Most of the front yard is shaded by a large olive- and mulberry tree. There are several oleander trees blooming all summer. Then the lilies, daylilies and cannas put on quite a show.

Click on the pictures below for a closer look.

Below are the rose trees "Today" and "Angelface".

The front yard is landscaped with several flower beds along both sides of the driveway, along either side of the yard, by the house and the wall by the service gate. There is always a lot of color here. Close to the front door is a park bench flanked by miniature roses in pots.

Here you see the rose trees "Chicago Peace" and "Iceberg". Below, the rose tree "Ole" and the roses "Spice Twice, Golden Masterpiece and Iceberg" are blooming.

Below left is the rose "Aloha" climbing on a post. Fragrant oriental lilies scent the air and the daylilies provide color for weeks.

Let's go tour the gardens in the back of the house. There are now approximately 150 roses growing in my yard. Not all flower beds are ready for viewing yet. About 40 roses moved with us 1 year ago and the rest were planted last fall and this spring. Some of them are getting quite tall already.
